Sheriff Clint Of Central Pacific Bank

The first non-Japanese to lead the bank in its 48-year existence, Clint sees the transition as an opportunity to build on the bank's heritage, while leveraging its strengths. Central Pacific Bank "We have a proud heritage that is rooted in the days when Hawaii's Japanese community was unable to gain access to financial services. Building on that heritage, my plan is to carry on the tradition of reaching out and expanding our services to all businesses and Hawaii's hard-working people."

A banking industry veteran of more than 28 years, Clint comes with a wealth of experience. Most recently, as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Bank, a $1.3 billion commercial bank based in Pasadena, California. Amongst his many accolades, Clint engineered the dramatic turnaround of First Interstate Bank of Nevada (FIB-Nevada). As Chief Executive of FIB-Nevada in 1993, Clint transformed an institution troubled by loan portfolio and regulatory problems into the No. 1 performing bank within the 13-state First Interstate organization.

So imagine the possibilities for a strong performer like Central Pacific Bank, a company that has recorded 11 quarters of record earnings, despite Hawaii's economic challenges.

Clint's goal for the bank is very straightforward. "That is to be Hawaii's Best Bank in servicing our customers, increasing value to our shareholders, becoming the preferred employer in our marketplace, and being an integral partner of this community." Wasting no time, Sheriff Clint is stepping outside the box to really capture the hearts of Hawaii's people. The bank's new campaign rallies around a dog who epitomizes "loyalty."

"Since 1954, our customers have been loyal to Central Pacific Bank. Now, we're reciprocating that loyalty, twice over. Fiercely loyal banking is what you get at Central Pacific Bank."
